Some key learning this week include:
  • RE -  Inquire into key features of the life of our parish and diocese and explore ways that we can be an active part of it e.g. Lent
  • Maths - BASIC FACTS AND ALGORITHMS Numbers can be broken apart and grouped in different ways to make calculations simpler. Powers of ten are important benchmarks in our numeration system, and thinking about numbers in relation to powers of ten can make addition and subtraction easier.
  • Literacy - Reading strategies that help us understand better e.g. self-monitoring, retelling the main idea, summarising, ask questions.

HomeLearning
  • Students should be reading daily for 15 minutes. Either a library book, a class book, or a book from home.
  • 15 minutes of Maths Whizz, learning basic facts or playing a maths game.
  • Some students will have spelling or handwriting practice coming home this week as well
