Welcome Back to Caleb

We have a student returning to school on Monday who has had cancer.  He has been away since 2021.

His immunity has been compromised due to the treatment he has received and he is particularly susceptible to chickenpox and measles.

Any cases of chickenpox or measles, in the school community, needs to be reported to the school office immediately to ensure his health is not compromised.

He is looking forward to coming back to school as are his friends.

Week 2 Learning

What a fabulous week. From Athletics on Tuesday to Grandparents Day and Andrew Chinn today, it's been a jam-packed week of fun.

I shared the maths e-asTTle results with the students this week so hopefully, they can tell you how they are going and what their next steps in learning are for Mathematics. Later this term we will do a Reading e-asTTle and a writing sample for narrative writing.

I hope you enjoy the photos this week. I wish I could capture the joy on the kid's faces today singing their hearts out with Andrew Chinn. Congratulations to all the students who gained placings in Athletics and to the choir and readers at mass today. Oh, and thanks to everyone who provided a plate for morning tea today.

The theme connects to the overall theme for this year’s Pacific language weeks ‘sustainability’ and the launch of the UNESCO Decade of Indigenous Languages.

We intend to have a working bee this Saturday, October 29th. There are a number of jobs that need to be done. If you are willing to help, can you please let the office know? The projects include painting, spraying the cobbles, painting wooden  Christmas Trees, building two picnic tables, playground equipment maintenance, replacing a damaged panel on a classroom wall and maintenance work on our unicycles and putting together new unicycles. Week 1 Learning

What a great week of learning and fun we have had this week. We have been setting new learning goals this week so ask your child what they are working on for Goal Getters in the morning. Perhaps you could encourage them at home?

Thanks to our RE Leaders and Young Vinnies for leading Rosary on Thursday. You were so reverent and respectful in the way you acted and spoke.

We have managed some maths learning this week - our topic is Probability - what is the chance of something happening. We also enjoyed our first week in the pool concentrating on keeping our bodies streamlined when swimming.

Today our Colour Fun Run was a hoot! It was so much fun. I hope you enjoy the photos, sorry in advance there are so many.
