Week 11 Learning

 Happy Easter holidays everyone.

It's been a fabulous term, full of learning and fun.

Here are some pictures of our week.

Thank you to all who took part in the Washing of the Feet liturgy today. It was lovely and the teachers gave you lots of compliments.

Week 11

Well, here we are at the last week of term.
This week we farewell Mrs. Cato. It would be lovely if the students made her a card during the week so we can present them to her on Thursday.

This week, our big ideas for learning are around being inspired by the music 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'. Students will show creativity and JOY through coding, technologies, music, and visual arts. It's going to be a fun week to finish the term.

We will be learning about Holy Week in RE, and on Thursday we will have the Washing of the Feet liturgy.

What's on This Week?

Monday - Coding, Technology, Art, Music
Tuesday - Coding, Technology, Art, Music
Wednesday - Coding, Technology, Art, Music, 12:00 Mass
Thursday - Washing of the Feet liturgy Year 4 - 6, Presenting our Projects
Friday - HOLIDAYS

Messages from Mr. Macmillan -
Uniform
At the start of Term 2 children must be in winter uniform. Uniforms can be bought from our uniform shop. The shop is open Monday at 8.30am, Wednesday at 2.30pm, Friday at 8.30am and on Monday, the first day back in Term 2, at 8.30pm. I want to make sure our students are wearing the correct uniform in Term 2.

Holiday Reading
There will be a reading log draw after the holidays. I thought we would run it differently this time and the class with the highest percentage of participants will win a pizza and chips lunch. So please promote that on your blogs.

We will have a high chance of winning this as we have lots of avid readers in Room 2!

Week 10 Learning

Another fun-filled learning week in Room 2 this week!

We had a lovely Stations of the Cross liturgy on Thursday. The stations were set out around the field and ended in the Mary Garden. The kids took the crosses they had made with them to help them reflect on the way. The Stations follow the events of Jesus on his way to Calvary where he was crucified on the cross.

It was also lovely to all be together with the whole Year 4 - 6 team in the hall for Kapahaka with Matua Koro.

And, we had a double whammy Golden Time with waffle bowls, Mr. Bean movies, and whole school tug of war. An excellent way to finish the week.

Here are some photos of the week.
